General Chapter

A General Chapter is a series of formal meetings of the finally professed members of a community( or delegates) that come together to make important decisions regarding the charisms, life, and mission of a community. Every religious community has a General Chapter every 4-6 years. The General Chapter is the highest governing body of a community and usually includes elections of the Reverend Mother and council members. Our General Chapter was held during late May and the beginning of June. The pictures above and to the right were taken after and during the Opening Mass on the Feast of Corpus Christi.

These are pictures of a rainbow that appeared in our backyard the Opening day of General Chapter. It was the most beautiful rainbow ever seen on our property. It appeared three different times that evening on the Feast of The Holy Trinity! We took it as a sign of the Lord's love and care for us. He is so faithful!

July 27th: Sr. Maria Pio will be making her final vows, 2:00 at Christ the King Chapel at Franciscan University

August 2nd: The Junior Sisters will be renewing their vows

August 6th: Three of our novices, Sr. Mary Markita, Sr. Eliana, and Sr. Tina Marie will be making first profession of vows on the Feast of the Transfiguration

August 15th: The Feast of the Assumption: the 20th Anniversary of the founding of our community

August 16th: Our postulants, Sabrina, Sinéad, Kim, and Libby will enter novitiate and receive their veils and their new names

August 17th: The entrance of our two new candidates, Sarah and Heather
