Our community was founded by a group of women who were inspired by God to begin a new religious community within the Franciscan Third Order Regular (religious) tradition. On August 15, 1988, on the Feast of the Assumption, our community was officially established in the Diocese of Steubenville by Bishop Albert Ottenweller.
